Title: The Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Stakeholder Swap Meet: Exchanging Ideas + Sharing Stories + Swapping Resources ensuring a Value-Added College Experience for the Adult Learner
Abstract: Come join the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) stakeholder swap meet to exchange ideas, share stories, and swap resources that ensure a value-added college experience for the adult learner. Whether you are a student, faculty, staff, or an administrator new to working with Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) or a PLA sage or somewhere in between, come and meet your colleagues for an enriching experience sharing your insights, ideas, and resources. Possible outcomes for the roundtable are to connect with new colleagues in all stages of development of PLA at their institutions for the purpose of having value-added college experiences for the adult learner. This roundtable will be lead by two facilitators with experience in PLA.
Targeted Audience:
The target audience ranges from new to experienced students, faculty, staff and administrative stakeholders in the PLA process.

Dr. Joan E. Leichter Dominick has served on the University Adult Learner Committee since Fall Semester 2015, which focuses on organizing the Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) at Kennesaw State University. She holds a Doctorate of Education in Adult Education from the University of Georgia, her work is the GPS: Grad Portfolio Story process, and has personal history with the PLA process.
